“They Taught Me” shows the band at the height of its songwriting maturity. The love for breakdowns has not been lost, but this is now accompanied by djenty riffs and by varied and incisive drumming. Didi's voice stands out above all, powerful and expressive.
DEMETRA’S SCARS is born close to Modena Italy in 2015. In 2017 they released the first single “Your Only Escape”, followed by gigs supporting Jinjer and Infected Rain. In 2021 they released the self-titled EP, promoted with several live shows where they shared the stage with the likes of Genus Ordinis Dei and again Jinjer.
“They Taught Me” was recorded by Marco Malavasi at Sonic Design. Mixed and mastered by Bruno Stella (Elyne). Artwork by Viron 2.0. Band photo by Pole Fankaz (Pole Digital Pix). Band logo by Carol Aldrighi.
