It Must Be Done is an ancient tale about two beings who have always been referred to as the Owl and the Wolf since it was first handed down. A tale about the same people, from two almost identical universes.
Despite doing everything right and good, life has punished them for it. In defiance, they retreated into solitude, refusing to take part in their corrupted worlds.
Awakened from their slumber after thousands of years, they're unknowingly summoned by a younger version of themselves from another universe. They stand before a child who is asking for their aid to avenge the injustices done to him. The same injustices that caused the tragedies in their own lives.
As the goddess of causality smiles, their presence and the knowledge of their existence has corrupted the child. The seed has already been planted. The change has already begun. By no fault of his own, he will turn into a monster. The only way to save him is to kill him. The only way to preserve the balance is stop the corruption from spreading. Now tell, who deceived whom?
DECEIVER is a one-man melodic black metal band from Singapore that explores storytelling through allegories using different mediums. It explores themes of morality, human nature and causality.
