With their new album "Kingdom Of Filth," MNEMOCIDE delivers a statement of crushing power and relentless intensity. Their uncompromising death metal creates a very dynamic and engaging experience, where the energy hits hard from the very beginning.

MNEMOCIDE have crafted raw but yet tight and focused songs combining strong riffs, powerful drumming and absolutely deep and intense vocals perfectly fitting the style.

The overall heaviness of the album is underlined by the balance between brutality and some melodic elements giving the songs more depth without losing the impact and aggression of the genre.

The production from Christoph Brandes at Iguana Studios truly stands out. The sound is clear, heavy and well balanced, maintaining a crushing overall impact. There is something unique in the energy and attitude of the music that makes it feel fresh and powerful.

This album shows a band with great potential and a clear identity within the genre.

The main lyrical topic is the role of deception and propaganda in a world full of greed, depravity, chaos and hate.

The band is proud to show the artwork by Daroc, while the tracklist can be read as follows:

About:

MNEMOCIDE is a death metal band from the Basel region, founded in 2017 by five seasoned musicians with extensive live and studio experience. Emerging from previous joint band projects, the group developed a clear vision: uncompromising, groove-driven death metal with maximum impact. In 2020, MNEMOCIDE expanded to a sextet, lending the band additional musical depth and dynamism. The band’s sound combines brutal riffs, massive grooves and aggressive vocals into a powerful and cohesive whole that impresses both on record and on stage. MNEMOCIDE is known for intense live performances and high-energy shows that leave a lasting impression. The EP “Debris” (2018) was the band’s first official release and laid the foundation for their sonic identity. Their debut album “Feeding The Vultures” followed in spring 2020, and the album “Kingdom Of Filth” is set to be released on the 9th of January 2027. All three releases were recorded at Iguana Studios near Freiburg and produced by Christoph Brandes (Thron, The Spirit, Unlight, Necrophagist, Finsterforst, among others), reflecting MNEMOCIDE’s professional standards and resulting in a powerful, modern production. In addition to numerous club gigs, MNEMOCIDE have performed at established festivals such as BScene Basel, the Freakout Festival, Headbanger’s Ball, the Meh Suff Winter and Summer Festivals, and Z7 Wild Dayz, thereby reaching a broad and dedicated metal audience. MNEMOCIDE present themselves as a focused and powerful live band with a clear artistic direction, aiming to establish a strong and lasting presence on the European death metal scene.

The name MNEMOCIDE, composed of the Greek «mnēmoniká» (=memory) and the Latin «caedere» (=kill, murder) means something like «memory murder» or the erasure of collective memory.
