The Austrian Groove metallers MY DARK FATE have released the music video for ”Whiteout“.

The song, composed by Andreas Maierhofer and Herbert Sopracolle, lay dormant for years before Marina Su brought it to life with her lyrics and vocal melody.

The lyrics were inspired by the extraordinary experiences of Marina’s father, who hiked the 1,600-kilometer Iditarod Trail in Alaska multiple times, enduring some of the harshest conditions imaginable.

MY DARK FATE presents a powerful interpretation of modern groove metal, combining Andreas Maierhofer's heavy seven-string riffs with two-part vocals. Aggressive growls from guitarist Stefan Geir are balanced by melodic, clear hooks from bassist Marina Su. Christian Federer's tight, driving rhythm section delivers a powerful sound.

The band released their debut album “No Prophecy” in December 2022 (with former singer Brigitte).

In 2025, the band experienced a reboot: Marina (vocals, bass) and Stefan (vocals, guitar) officially joined the line-up. The project was originally founded in 2020 by guitarist and main songwriter Andreas Maierhofer, best known for his work with the melodic death metal band Lost Dreams. With MY DARK FATE, he continues to apply his decades of experience to a darker, heavier vision.
