Norwegian firestarters UBUREN play harsh black metal with a personal interpretation of viking metal, brought together in an endless stream where thoughts and music have melted together and become one indescribable piece.
UBUREN is focused on being a live-band over being a studio band, headlining tours all over the world in countries such as Mexico, England, Germany, and Russia. They have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Norwegian Black Metal like Enslaved, Dimmu Borgir, and Carpathian Forest.
The band takes its name from a mountain with a dark rumoured past in the birthplace of two of the band members - Ask and Bior. The word “Uburen” is based on old Norse, and can not be directly translated into English, but its meaning would be “carried out” or “cast out”.
“It is said that desperate mothers who didn't see any other way out for their weak and unwanted babies, would throw them off the edge of the mountain."
Recorded and produced by Uburen. Mixed and mastered by Roadkill Music Production.
