OCEAN OF ANOTHER, the Croatian modern metal/metalcore band with members from Manntra, has released the new EP Loneliness Of My Kin in digital format today June 13th via Beton Music/MENART. The new EP comes in grand style, accompanied by a powerful video for the title-track!

In the video we find the band locked in an apartment, ready to unleash their anger and frustration. The environment is invaded by blue lights, to symbolize not only the "harsh lights of reality" but also the state of depression and loneliness in which many live in modern society (it is not a coincidence that one of the most important verses of the song says: "Will we forever feel alone / And lost inside this / Mortal Coil / Is this the price we pay for meaning?")

Loneliness Of My Kin is not a consoling song, but a raw one in its coldly realistic being. This cold atmosphere is underlined not only by the play of lights, but also by the great work done with the synth and the effected vocals.

Loneliness Of My Kin is the best fit for broad-minded listeners. During its 19-minutes experience, the listeners will encounter not only growl vocals and down-tuned guitars, but also melodic/melancholic vocal lines, danceable beats, and synths.

The EP tells the tale of a human heart torn between the desire to be loved and accepted and the burden of past traumas in a society ravaged by consumerism. How can we find meaning in a world hooked on cheap thrills and complacency?

Climate change, war, and the negative effects of capitalism were once seen as left or right political issues—now, they are the reality we live in.

How do we confront these truths when we still don’t understand what it means to be human?

We strive to command and conquer the world and the universe while constantly averting our gaze from our inner worlds—losing our humanity with every step. “Loneliness Of My Kin” is a form of self-discovery—a scream into the abyss in search of meaning and humanity amid a power-hungry system trying to dissolve our essence to feed its endless hunger.
