International hard rock/heavy metal project GOOT is proud to announce that their new album “My Time” will be released on July 20th via Worldlessness Records.

“My Time” explores different themes and thoughts, and continues the story of the band’s lyricist, the Dutch author Randy Gerritse, which began on “Weight Of Days” (2024) and continued on “The Toll Remains The Same” (2025).
First, the hero of the story loses his warm professorship at a reputable university because of his political views and begins to move to the bottom. Then he gets to the special services and endures torture, only thanks to his bright memories.
This time, the protagonist finds himself at the front, experiencing the horrors of war, and simultaneously rethinking his life and his relationship with the world, realizing the brevity and fragility of his existence, what's happening quickly erase all values in the often meaningless everyday life, forcing a new appreciation for simple joys and a horrified sense of what a death-reeking, greedy humanity has become.
With the exception of a couple of old demo ideas, the material for “My Time” was written, recorded, and mixed in various countries and cities throughout 2024 and 2025. As is traditional for the project, the album was mixed by Theodor Borovski at Slaughtered Studio. Compositionally, “My Time” leans more toward classic heavy metal albums, with compact, clearly structured songs, heroic and melancholic melodies, and epic, catchy choruses. Stylistically, the project once again succeeded in creating a perfectly working hybrid of varying tempos between classical and modern metal, with a recognizable, mournful and haunting atmosphere.
This time, the band decided to keep the number of guests to a minimum: in addition to the iconic rock vocalist David Reece, who delivered a magnificent, highly emotional vocal performance, the album also features brilliant guitar solos from Wayne Dorman (ex-Onslaught).
The cover art for “My Time” was created by designer Pablo Antonov, who previously designed the albums “Weight Of Days” and “The Toll Remains The Same”.
The images are obvious, but the band’s last release is not about the fighting, but about what the participants in this meat grinder for the glory of billionaires think, about the humanity that they have in the face of death. What motivates them besides orders, what will happen to the soldiers upon their return to civilian life will be devoted to the next musical chapter of the concept.
