The song unfolds within a metaphysical and spiritual limbo, a symbolic realm forged in the abyss of profound darkness, where humanity confronts its own violence, hypocrisy, and false ideals of progress.
Through stark imagery and uncompromising language, “Alhowa” exposes the collapse of moral narratives such as human rights and civilization, revealing a world where supremacy, domination, and destruction are normalized and celebrated. Both invocation and accusation, the track stands as a lament, a warning, and a refusal to remain silent, a descent into the abyss where truth is stripped bare and spiritual awakening becomes inevitable.
"We Forge Darkness Into The Abyss."
JIBREEL is the brainchild of Ouassim Amdouni, composer, songwriter, guitarist and growler, born in Tunis and currently based in Milan, Italy.
Blending extreme metal with Middle Eastern melodies and spiritual atmospheres, JIBREEL creates a dark and ritualistic sound rooted in themes of war, death, resistance and inner struggle. The project is openly anti-colonial, using music as a form of rebellion and remembrance, giving voice to historical and spiritual wounds often erased or ignored.
Drawing influences from black and death metal as well as traditional oriental scales and rhythms, JIBREEL’s music is both aggressive and deeply symbolic, mixing brutality with epic and mystical elements. More than just a musical act, JIBREEL is a personal and political statement, a confrontation between oppressor and oppressed, life and annihilation, faith and despair told through intense vocals, violent riffs and cinematic atmospheres.
The project’s first single “Alhowa” has been mixed and mastered by Alexander Lapko.
