Italian Downtempo Deathcore heavy hitters GRAVERY are proud to release a new single via the USA Heavy Label UPSTATE RECORDS (Fury of Five, Freya, Subzero, Brick by Brick among others).

Gravery’s “A Fetish For The Graves” is available on every digital streaming platform from today, May 16th and distributed by the well known Blood Blast Distribution which is benefiting from expert support from the Nuclear Blast team.

This new single marks the natural evolution of the band after the line-up changes of early 2025 and follows the acclaimed first EP “Everything That Is Born must Die,” which made it’s debut at #18th on the NACC Top 30 Heavy Charts last September.

An official videoclip for “A Fetish For The Graves” will be released on May 30th via the well known Youtube channel Slam Worldwide.

GRAVERY’s sound evolved in a more rough, direct and disturbing sound approach that hits straight in the stomach and leaves the listener breathless and further stunned by the aggressiveness of the low tones and the merciless breakdowns.

Gravery’s live performances are defined as “savage and ferocious with a taste of creepiness” and that’s what they wanted to take in the studio as well. The band decision was to self-produce the entire track together with their guitarist and producer Luca Cocconi at Audiocore Studio.

This is what the band has to say about the new developments:

We are still processing what happened. We played more than 50 shows in our first year and for an overseas band like us to be part of the roster of an USA label like UPSTATE is just overwhelming. Having a massive line-up change could have been a negative turning point, but it most instantly turned out to be a good one. The song originally was quite different from the one we released. But we decided to postpone the release and come back to the studio to make some changes in the structure and in the sound. Changes that reflect the new path that GRAVERY is taking with this new line-up, a path that maintains all the characteristics of the band but includes a more dark approach to the songwriting, with a decisive injection of metal, death metal and deathcore elements to the existing downtempo ones. We are already working on our next EP and this song was supposed to be in it. We decided to release it as a single to prepare the listeners for what is coming. And we can assure you that it’s heavier and darker than you think.”

GRAVERY closed the year 2024 with 50+ shows in 10 countries through EU and UK and is looking to continue on this path also in 2025, while preparing to cross the pond by the end of this year.
