Blackened Deathers OB NIXILIS Announce New Album “Abhorred”; Single “Discordian Epitaph" Online!

The US blackened death metal act OB NIXILIS is glad to announce that its new full-length “Abhorred” will be released on January 27 via Reaping Scythe Records. The album will be available as CD, together with the usual stream and download on the main digital platforms. Composed of 7 tracks for a playing time of 39 minutes, “Abhorred” is a culmination of heavy hitting drums, rhythmic and shredding guitars, brain rumbling bass lines, and gruesome vocals. The album encapsulates dark and melodic elements along with hard hitting, melodic guitar leads and passages with fast, tremolo picking. Be sure that fans of Dissection, Deicide, Hypocrisy, and Immolation will go crazy for this album!

OB NIXILIS is a 4-piece blackened death metal band hailing from Colorado Springs, Colorado. The band formed in the bleak winter of February 2020 and released its first EP, “Grimoire of the Dead”, in late 2021. The line-up sees a collection of seasoned musicians, some of who met through the local metal scene and others who have known each other for numerous years. Once the band was united, they decided to fuse their unique artistic vision to bring haunting melodies, heavy rhythms, soul crushing leads and dark ambiance that will make you want to punch your neighbor and hug your mailman!

“Abhorred” was recorded, mixed, produced, and mastered by Jacob St. Amand at The Shadow Temple in Denver, CO. Enclosed you can see the album art that, together with the band sigil, has been created by Cythraul Art, Dennis Lee Hughes.
