Following the success of their 2022 self-titled debut and a series of support slots for international heavyweights, Swiss powerhouse NAKED SOLDIER returns with their ambitious new studio EP, “Echoes.”

Released today April 17th, 2026, “Echoes” marks a significant evolution for the Zurich-based quartet. While the band’s reputation was built on a foundation of sophisticated alternative rock, this new record is structured as a sonic metamorphosis. The EP opens with the loud, driving immediacy of 90s-esque post-grunge, hooking the listener with raw rock and roll energy before slowly descending into darker, more experimental territories.
As the tracklist progresses, the sound expands, layering in thick fuzz tones and psychedelic landscapes. This journey culminates in the album’s ambitious centerpiece: “El Bizarre,” a 12-minute, intricate fuzz-juggernaut that fully embraces the band's stoner and desert rock influences.
"With this record, we wanted to drag our sound out into the desert," the band states. "We designed the album to lure you in with the raw, straight-forward energy of 90s alternative, then slowly pull you deeper into the haze. By the time you reach the end, we’re leaning heavily into harmonic minor scales and massive sonic textures. It starts as a party, but ends as a trip.”
NAKED SOLDIER has already sent shockwaves through the Swiss underground scene, known for electrifying performances that balance progressive complexity with a dangerously fun energy. Their ability to command a stage has landed them support slots for major international acts including Sasquatch (US), Valley Of The Sun (US), and Duel (US).
“Echoes” captures this live intensity in a studio setting, delivering a collection of tracks that are as atmospheric as they are aggressive. From the experimental depths of stoner rock to the immediate hooks of modern alternative, NAKED SOLDIER proves that rock music can be both smart and heavy.
Reduce Me: The album opener and a high-octane statement of intent. It is a simple, loud, 90s-style post-grunge rocket designed to get the crowd moving immediately.
Bit Crusher: Turning the intensity up, this track is crushing and heavy. It retains the direct energy of the opener but introduces a thicker, fuzzier wall of sound, bridging the gap between alternative rock and the heavy stoner vibes to come.
Fortune Teller: The mood shifts into introspective territory. “Fortune Teller” is an exotic desert rock track, utilizing atmospheric fuzz and darker scales to create a hypnotic vibe.
El Bizarre: The album’s 12-minute magnum opus. This intricate, fuzz-laden behemoth is the culmination of the band's sonic journey - shifting through psychedelic landscapes and complex rhythms in a massive display of progressive stoner rock.
