German artist RODTGOD will release the new album “Tales From Beyond The Tomb” on July 10th digitally.

Made of 12 brand-new tracks for over 65 minutes of musical experience, “Tales From Beyond The Tomb” will delight your ears with an eclectic blend of sludge, doom and death metal that the artist named “Health Metal” - a Doom Metal more devoted to the melodic than to the crushing side, less heavy but more dynamic.

Established in 2016, as a side hustle to house unused tracks from the project's founders’ main band Pissbucket, RODTGOD developed its own weird dynamic.  Turning the human experience into doom and death metal, then into “health metal.” The latter describes an ugly sound, with a rather wholesome intention - something dark and heavy with some light-hearted elements at the core. Proof that you can have both the (Hot-) rods and rot (hence both the “T” and the “d” in the name), emphasising its roots in both death- and sludge/stoner-metal .

The 2023 EP “GRAVESIDE SERVICE” acted as an excursion into a different musical and lyrical territory than the two albums “New Doom Rising” and “Know your pain, pick your poison”. Ignoring the ironic undertone and taking itself a bit more seriously for once. Culminating in the trilogy’s youngest member “Tales From Beyond The Tomb,” which takes into account all phases of RODTGOD.

Offering a journey-like album that turns all our imperfections into sound. “Tales From Beyond The Tomb” marks the third dose of hand-made doom metal, with a touch of sludge, forming what is posing as “health metal” since the project's inception in 2016. Let it take you by the hand and guide you through this freak show called “life”, practice some “shadow work” through the ups and downs and enjoy the low-tuned seriousness and the lightness of being. Taking itself very seriously, while also taking itself not so seriously at last. As you should.”
