Lights and shadows are both part of our existences. Shadows should not be fought, because they are part, as lights, of our being human. “Ombra“ (Italian word meaning "shadow") is the musical, graphic and textual representation of this realization, but not only. The album also speaks of our loneliness and the need to build bridges above the tides of our inner turmoil. All of this is done with top-notch songwriting and meticulous attention to the internal flow of the songs.
THE MOOR is a band with ever-evolving sound facets, hailing from mainland Venice, Italy. After their debut in 2012, they distinguished themselves for their atmospheric and innovative sound, incorporating elements of progressive rock and metal in various forms, including death metal and thrash metal, while maintaining recognizable melodies and memorable choruses.
The band has collaborated with artists like Mikael Stanne from Dark Tranquillity, Niklas Isfeldt from Dream Evil, and Björn Strid from Soilwork. The quartet is now composed of members of acts like Time and the Hunter (feat. Niklas Sundin), Folkstone, and historical underground acts like Bleed In Vain and Ensoph. The new album “Ombra“ was mixed and mastered at Studio Fredman by Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Architects, Dimmu Borgir, Obscura…).
